If you think you have time to spare in the future, it would be much appreciated. I can do my job quite well without the device as the fields here are much smaller and manageable for a single individual. But it would ease the labor and maximize the productivity of the harvest.

...Is not the perspective backwards? I would imagine in most places, it would be considered a gift to have access to power beyond that of a normal human. Why, you might even expect those with innate power to rise to the higher echelons of society.
I should imagine this persecution exists solely out of fear of what those people might do. If you spread the message that they are inferior and repulsive, they will be trod underfoot before they can cause too much trouble.
