Who: Open to all Corsair characters
What: Explore an ancient graveyard
Where: A village in the lower isles
When: Late July
Note: mingling and toplevels are options for all prompts

Matt calls for a company to join him on a trip to another small village in the lower isles. During the voyage over he explains his concerns.

"The village used to be home to honorable burial grounds that the villagers maintained, but ever since the island fell, the empire has shown no interest. The village is in squalor and the graves of warriors from before the empire are unkempt."

Matt leans forward in his seat. "There's been word of possible grave robbery and angry spirits. We're going to search the graveyard for answers and try to sooth any ghosts."

Who: Emery and whoever takes the time to help out.
What: Gathering medical supplies.
When: Mid-late July.
Where: Various points across Esthere.

Anyone who responds to Emery's request for medical supplies has various options in how they might help out. Some might prefer to gather medicinal plants, whether it's from the gardens and fields of the Corsairs' various settlements, or perhaps the bolder sorts will dare to venture out into the wilds of Innistis and Larendt. There's environmental hazards to contend with, as well as the Imperial forces to deal with, who are more alert than ever thanks to the ongoing war over the Fallen Isles.

Some might choose to focus on processing gathered plants, turning them into proper medicine to greater increase their efficacy. There's also other things that need to be made, so one might try their hand at stitching together masks and blankets, making soap, creating shelf stable rations... Whatever someone thinks may be useful.

And even if you're not the handy sort, one can always simply go shopping at various markets around Elysium or in Corsair settlements. Store-bought is fine and all that. The more piratical may also try a bit of theft, as there are certainly Imperial ships, stores, and encampments that won't miss a few supplies.

Whatever anyone who volunteers decides to do, they'll always be able to find Emery in that promised clearing near Elysium, playing his lyre and awaiting supplies.

[ooc: I'll be putting a top level up for Emery later, but this log is intended to be a work-amongst-yourselves affair, so feel free to put up your own top levels for other people to tag. Hopefully, the above blurb will give y'all some ideas for prompts, and you are of course free to come up with ideas of your own for this plot.]

[Behold, there is an unexpected pretty blonde face on the network! Where did Emery get an ENC.]

Hey folks! I want to thank everyone who helped me out with that Python issue recently. You Corsairs are really an impressive bunch. And in light of that, I've got another favor to ask.

You see, I'm in need of some medical supplies. Mostly medicines, I'll list 'em out in a sec, but other things like soap, disinfectants, face masks, honey, tea, potable water... Anything you might need for nursing a sick person. And for the medicine I need-

[And then Emery names a bunch of different herbs/medications. Anyone with a decent amount of pharmaceutical knowledge should pick up on it being stuff used for the treatment of respiratory ailments. Pain relievers, cough suppressants, decongestants, that sort of thing.]

Medicine that's already prepared would be ideal but I have enough apothecary knowledge to make use of raw ingredients. As for how much I need, the answer is “As much as you can spare.”

[His sunny smile briefly shifts into a grimace.]

I'm aware the timing isn't great, but that's how it works out sometimes, isn't it? Still, I'm willing to compensate anyone who brings me something. There's a clearing in the woods up the hills to the East of Elysium, where you'll be able to find me most evenings. Just keep an ear out for the sound of my lyre.

[Spoiler alert: Despite Emery's words about compensation, anyone who bothers to ask for money is going to be grossly underpaid. In Emery's defense, the money he's earning from working as a traveling bard/healer isn't much. For all the nonchalance, Emery is deeply aware he's relying mainly on the goodwill of the Corsairs.]

[ooc: The action post is here.]
